Hi,

I will be watching this thread and hope you post plenty of pictures.
How much time do you have into it so far and is this going to be 100% stock.

Scott,

It's gonna be a 100% stock restauration.
Also started with a 100% restauration of a Z50AK0 . Hope we can find all the parts. Maybe you know someone who's got parts for sale . We need an exhaust baffler and a rear sprocket in 415.

Thanks,

Luc

Real or fake quiz

Which fueltank is the original Z50M tank ?  Left or right ?
Will post the answer in a few days .

The tank on the left is the original, has short filler neck.
Do I win the gas tank if I'm right.

Correct....the filler neck is shorter , the tank badge mountings are different and the original M tank is more square than the other.

You can come over and pick up your price . :D

I missed the emblem mounts, I thought the tanks had different shapes but figured it was just the photo.
The paint looks great on both tanks.
How close is Belgium to Switzerland, thinking of a family trip.

Scott,

Switzerland is about 500 to 600 miles from Belgium. It all depends where you will be staying in Switzerland.
We are located near Antwerp.

Allways welcome !

Thanks Luc,
If this trip pans out I might try to get over to Belgium to pick up my gas tank and view your collection.
Keep the pics coming.

We will keep posting pictures...now we are waiting for the rechromed and regalvanised parts to be picked up.
This will take a few weeks.

So we have some time left over to start a Belgian z50 ak2 restauration.
